We met in 2018 while living in the same house during our junior year at the
University of Southern California, proving that sometimes your future spouse
is just down the hall.
What began as friendship grew into something more, built on laughter, a love of
travel, and the realization that life was simply more fun together.
In 2022, we decided to skip ahead to the "married" part and eloped. Since then,
married life has taken us from St. Louis to Chicago and now Seattle. After a busy
few years, we're finally bringing our favorite people together. We can't wait to
celebrate the marriage we've already started — this time with the people we love most.

Attire
Island Semi-Formal
Guests are encouraged to dress up for the evening. Slacks with a dress shirt or
aloha shirt are welcome, and dresses or dressy separates are appropriate. As the
venue is both formal and oceanfront, we recommend attire that is comfortable and
celebration-ready.

Where to Stay
Set up camp in Waikiki.
For guests traveling to Oʻahu, we recommend staying in Waikiki.
With beach access, restaurants, and shopping nearby, Waikiki is also conveniently
located for getting to 53 By the Sea. Whether you're looking for a classic
beachfront resort, a boutique hotel, or something more budget-friendly, Waikiki is
a great place to start your search.

Our Local Favorites
If you're making a trip of it.
For guests spending extra time on Oʻahu, we hope you'll enjoy a few of our favorite
places on the island.
Shave ice
Shimazu Store
One of our favorite places for shave ice on Oʻahu. Located in Kapolei Shopping
Center, it's the perfect place to cool off between beach days and sightseeing. We
recommend trying it with vanilla ice cream on the bottom.
Poke & onigiri
Aliʻi Fish Market
A great spot for fresh poke and yaki onigiri — crispy grilled rice balls that are
absolutely delicious. Perfect for an easy, casual lunch before exploring the island.
The yaki onigiri is a must-have, and we recommend the yuzu chiso ʻahi poke.
Best sushi
Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar
Tucked away near the airport, this unassuming restaurant is home to what we think is
the best sushi on Oʻahu. It's a splurge but well worth it. Mitch's is BYOB and small,
so reserve ahead. Our go-to is the Assorted Bluefin and Ora King Salmon Nigiri Platter.
Something sweet
Banán
For something sweet, visit Banán in Waikiki — known for its dairy-free soft serve made
from bananas and other local fruit. The perfect treat to enjoy on the beach. Our
favorite is the Chunkadelic, because we love the macadamia nut butter.
Beach day
Lanikai Beach
One of our favorite beaches on the island — calm turquoise water, soft sand, and views
of the Mokulua Islands. The drive on the H-3 is worth the trip alone, and the nearby
Lanikai Pillbox Trail rewards you with stunning coast views. Parking fills up, so go early.
